ISSUES
KEY POLICIES
-
Close the gap and utilize the money we’re currently leaving on the table — keep Kansas money in Kansas!
-
Work on reducing property tax on individuals — large corporations can pay their share. We should overturn the corporate tax giveaways where possible and ensure they pay their fair share to operate in Kansas.
-
Over 90% of Kansas kids matriculate into the the public school system. We should focus on funding the public services provided for free by the state — not private business/schools that receive their own outside funds.
-
Special Education students are just like any other child — they should be provided adequate resources to get a quality education. In Tonganoxie, the state is only projected to cover 65-67% of excess special ed. costs, so local funds are diverted from general education to cover the state-required gap.
-
Data Centers are costly, and the people don’t approve. I will represent my constituent’s wishes. We should instead work to attract businesses that fit within our communities.
